Why"The Barking Lobster"

Why The Barking Lobster? Why not!

Actually, we were tossing around ideas for naming a new venture which is a dream at this stage. A Yabbie Farm - hopefully this dream will indeed come true.

A challenge for myself - to write a daily blog.

I'm sitting at the dining table, which funnily enough is in the kitchen. It's a beautiful table, maple - and the table top is made from one piece, quite a rarity. It belonged to my Nanna but my Dad put dodgy legs on it. When I acquired this wonderful table, which I used to do my homework on - I had another antique dining table, a tad smaller, with great legs! So, a simple job to change the legs over. The tops off their frames, swapped over and voila! Perfect! Well, one is perfect the other is Baltic Pine french polished to a blackwood shade, and the dodgy old legs, not sure what wood they're made from.

The dining table has been moved from the dining area of the lounge room, to the kitchen. I was tired of the cramped spot and it seemed to be in the way, especially when the boys began playing soccer in the lounge room and the youngest one cartwheels all over the place! Okay, the kitchen's a bit cramped now, but at least we can sit down together and eat the evening meal. Which by the way, I've started doing them - kicked hubby out and I'm in. Well, he still does all the washing up, breakfasts and school lunches. I am officially allowed to make a mess knowing full well if I leave the room for one minute and suddenly, up he jumps, off his rickety leather computer chair and bounds into the kitchen. He can't stand a mess and I can guarantee you'll never see a dirty dish in our sink - unless he's not here, of course, but that is an improbability.
